TB-500 is a synthetic form of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid peptide naturally released by platelets and injured tissue as a first-responder repair signal. Its small size and unstructured backbone allow rapid systemic distribution after injection. Reported research benefits: accelerated wound closure in full-thickness and burn models; improved recovery of tendon, ligament, and muscle after injury; enhanced corneal epithelial healing (studied clinically as RGN-259 for dry eye and neurotrophic keratopathy); promotion of new blood-vessel formation and cardiac tissue repair after ischemia; reduced fibrotic scarring via AcSDKP; support for hair follicle stem cell migration and regrowth; and broad systemic recovery activity in overtraining and injury-panel research.
